Ezra Jordan — dollarama
Meet Canadian contemporary pop, R&B and soul artist, Ezra Jordan. He has just released his newest single dollarama, a song that he wrote during the lowest point of his life during the pandemic. He suffered from a significant depressive episode and his plans to move to LA were not following through. He lost his job and ended up moving back in with his parents. With trying to figure out where this empty feeling was coming from, Ezra took all his life’s lived experiences and wrote dollarama.
Ezra didn’t feel he had to compromise on this track like he’s done many other times. Ezra admits that “when I truly faced the thought of abandoning music and finding some other way to spend my life, I felt I owed it to myself to make at least one thing that was as close to my true artistic vision as I was able to get.”
Stream dollarama and listen to Ezra’s raw artistry.
Alexander Grandjean — Attraction (Acoustic Version)
Alexander Grandjean is a Danish music artist that has been writing and producing for other artists for the past decade. This year, he decided to take the leap and release his own project. With his newest release, Attraction - Acoustic Version, this track covers the story of two strangers ditching a party to go make out. It’s the song to go to if you’re looking for a comforting tune that could double as a lullaby. The guitar strums will soothe you and bring you comfort. The flow of female melodies and Alexander’s raspy vocals will easily pull at your heart strings.

Boy Willows — Yello House
Boy Willows, also known as Landon Fleischman, is a boy from Maryland who is dedicated to challenging the folk-pop genre with his own twist. In his latest release, Yello House, is a lo-fi pop track defined by warm, warping guitars, tender and powerful hooks, and impressive instrumental passages. The track tells the tale of nostalgia and memories.
Landon was inspired to write the track around his parents moving out of his childhood home. He expressed that the song is about "where that leaves me, and those memories and what it means to no longer have that physical space I associate with a version of myself that I loved. But also, genuinely hoping that they can find happiness in a new chapter." This self-directed music video helps visualize what Boy Willows meant in his lyrics, with several scenes evoking emotional ties to his childhood Yellow House.
