Discover ROSIE With 2 (two) New Tracks
In 2020, ROSIE released Never the 1 which was a viral hit for the rising singer-songwriter. Since them, ROSIE has continued to deliver a series of captivating singles as the release of her debut EP nears. She has recently released to get over you and Sad Sad Sad over the last month.
to get over you starts off with delicate harmonies in the background and is accompanied by a very stripped piano focus. ROSIE’s vocals are tender and sweet, but her lyrics are mighty and heart-wrenching. The instrumental builds to welcome guitar picking which leads us to the build up and drop of drums to highlight the magical pop infused track. As it simmers back down, you can feel the heartbreak in the song, but also sense her telling us that there’s light at the end of this dark tunnel. So if you are in the mood for dancing away your heartbreak, this is the song to blast through your stereo. Stream to get over you now!
While Sad Sad Sad is not a breakup song, this track is still heartbreaking in it’s own way. The opening is graced by gentle guitar strums that carry ROSIE’s soft vocals to deliver heart-wrenching truths. In this song, ROSIE opens up about mental health and how you can be making huge strides in life, but still have days where it’s hard to smile. ROSIE shares that “The song represents acceptance and how, after a full year of healing and growing, sadness can still creep in.”
The tender piano scenes during the chorus really grounds the track. The addition of melodies and echoes back up ROSIE’s soft yet powerful vocals to soothe listeners and ease their minds. The production, tone and lyrics of Sad Sad Sad transforms into a captivating and emotional tale. Take some time and have a bath, go for a walk, or enjoy streaming Sad Sad Sad in bed under covers.
