J.Prince, Drake's Mentor gets him not to respond to Pusha T.
Since "The Story of Adidon", Drake has not followed up his clash with Pusha T. In an interview, J. Prince says he asked the rapper not to answer him.
It's been nearly a week since Pusha T dropped the eviscerating "The Story of Adidon" taking aim at Drake and yet, it's a total radio silence on Drake's side. Although the latter has explained himself about the blackface situation, he still didn't clap back at Pusha T.
In this case, two options are possible. Either Drake is still preparing an answer, or he has decided not to respond at all. In an interview for American radio DLTR, Drake's mentor, J. Prince solved the question.
The end of the clash between Drake and Pusha T?
J. Prince first returned to what Pusha T said in The Story of Adidon. According to him, the track was totally "disrespectful". It's true that Pusha went a bit too far by going against Drake's alleged child mother, his father and his dying producer. A simple clash has turned into a flood of hate. "I spoke with Drake. I made an OG call to Drake this morning, telling him, ‘I don’t want you to respond to this. We’re going to put this to bed," explained the CEO of Rap-a-lot to DTLR Radio on Saturday.
"We can't get into the pigpen with pigs. Because pigs turn into hogs and hogs get slaughtered," - he continued.
This is not the first time that J. Prince has stood up for the Canadian. In 2015, he was involved in a clash between his protégé and Diddy, Suge Knight, Lil Wayne and Birdman. Drake's silence now makes sense. So, would it be (finally) the end of this beef between the two rappers? We hope so.
