The Weeknd: his new album "My Dear Melancholy" is already a hit
The Weeknd just released "My Dear Melancholy" late last week. And it seems that the EP is about to win ahead of the competition in the weekly rankings.
The Weeknd has released his new album without warning and without promotion. But This, doesn't stop him from winning the top of the rankings! "My Dear Melancholy" was released on March 30th to the surprise of all his fans and yet, according to experts, it should run to more than 150,000 copies in its first week, which would propel it directly to the first place of the Billboard 200.
The cardboard is all the more impressive as "My Dear Melancholy" is not yet available in CD version (and it will not be available for few weeks, according to several sources)!
The Weeknd is back in force!
The Weekend is not really surprising as he collaborated on this album with some of the biggest stars and producers of electronic music, including Skrillex, Mike Will Made It, Cirkut, and the French Gesaffelstein and Guy-Manuel de Homem Christo (half of the legendary duo Daft Punk).
"My Dear Melancholy" is making a lot of noise right out because of the lyrics, in which the artist seems to be settling beef with Selena Gomez, his ex, which he broke up with, last fall. According to some fans, he would also express his regret about the end of his love affair with Bella Hadid, with whom he stayed for almost two years.
