NYC Artist BAYLI Urges You To Live In The Moment With The Single “Foreigner”
Built with an authentic mindset, the single “Foreigner”, released by NYC artist BAYLI, in her six-tracks-album 'Stories From New York', is a succession of melodic metaphors about a one-night-stand encounter. In a word, the context is about spontaneously letting go and embrace the moment, even though there is a chance of no follow-through.
The production, constructed following a R&B framework, kicks off with a smooth, bass-driven and melodic hook, which captures the vocal essence of the artist.
Indeed, the project, in itself, is an invitation into BAYLI’s universe, displaying her unique sound and oozing her personality all over. Every track, deriving from the EP is an inspiration from the singer’s life in NYC, hence its title.
“The concept really just came naturally. As we started to make songs for the project, I noticed that they all had this storyline that brought me back to NYC. With all the ways the city has influenced my identity with music and art and fashion and even my family’s identity too, it just felt so right.” — BAYLI shares
