Luke August’s Sweet New Melody Called “Only One In The World”
Luke August knows how to warm our hearts this season with his soothing vocals and intimate lyrics. His calming words are blanketed within tranquilizing melodies. The vulnerability he offers in this single is deeply felt throughout every second of the song. Luke opens his heart and shares his intentions for creating his latest track “Only On In The World” below:
“I have always found it difficult, as I’m sure a lot of us do, to communicate my true feelings to those around me. Being able to express thoughts and emotions through lyrics and melodies is my go-to way of doing that. At the time of writing this song I was in a pretty dark place mentally and really searching for an escape… This song is the culmination of a bunch of things that were happening in my life at the time which have been put into sonic form.
At its essence, Only One in the World is about looking back at all your f**kups, admitting to yourself that you are not perfect and realising the importance of holding onto the positive things we have in our lives. I think this reflects our current lockdown situation as everyone has had lots of time to think about the past and present, and where they are headed next”
