Lua Faye’s Transparent New Single “Hazy”
American artist Lua Faye’s genuine lyrics and subdued melodies makes for a soothing creation. Faye is a 21-year old local to Washington, DC, and created this song in one of her most vulnerable times. The most admirable artists write and sing about personal experiences no matter how hard or difficult they may be, and Faye does just that. Her open heart adds to the inspiration behind this song as Faye states,
“To be honest, I wrote this song when I was hypomanic, a week before spiraling out of control and being admitted to a mental hospital. Lol it’s funny because the song is pretty upbeat, it’s chill but the message is deceptively sad. I wrote it about my best friend who no longer wanted to speak to me. It was quite literally driving me crazy, hence the song title ‘Hazy’.”
