Enjoy This Beautiful Ode To “Black Woman” By Toronto Artist Emanuel
Healing and personal growth are the messages conveyed by the lyrics of Emanuel's new single "Black woman". Inspired by the strong women in his community, especially his mother, the artist spent two solid days writing this song. A sophisticated Soul/R&B texture, combined with an impressive amount of emotion, gives depth to the track.
Moreover, regarding the process behind the songwriting, Emanuel says:
"‘Black Woman’ is about reconciliation and also celebration - celebrating how strong our women are and how they hold us up,” — says Emanuel.
“People might think this song was written as a response to the moment right now but it's saying the exact same thing it was saying when it was written a year ago — 'I see you, I recognize you, I appreciate you and I love you'.”
