Dear Sara reveals Her Latest Single “Something You Should Know”

The melodic production shares a beautiful and thoughtful message. This tranquil track was written by the talented pair Sara herself and Elias Näslin, who collaborated with John Legend on his latest track “Slow Cooker.” Sara grew up in Northern Sweden, and has roots in an indigenous group called Sámis, a native minority in Sápmi (an area in Northern Norway, Finland and Sweden). She wears her heart on her sleeve, sharing her talent with the world. Within the production, are beautiful and expansive melodies. Here’s a few thoughts on her latest single from the artist herself below.
"I could not stop thinking about that strange song I wrote together with Elias - a melancholic, complicated declaration of love for my hometown. A tribute to the culture I grew up with. To say that it also counts. We count. We exist. At the same time, I want to tell you about the alienation. About being different in the tiny community. About a constant search for more and a desire to fit in somewhere. It was time for me to own my story.”
