British Artist Mookay’s Single “memories Is A Blissful Sonic Journey.
Set to melodically enchanting pads, British artist Moonkay introduces us to his unique musical universe, which fuses a generous dose of R&B-ish sounds with a pounding drum structure stemming from drill music.
The production entitled "Memories" reveals a soothing yet tonifying ambiance, in which Moonkay's mellow vocal performance is ethereally embedded. Indeed, the lyrical vision offered by the artist retrospectively details his past romantic relationships and contemplates making better commitments. Commenting on the piece, Moonkay explains: "I wanted to create something that had a gritty but almost religious feel to it and reflect my current situation in London. In many ways London is the kind of city a lot of people come to looking for opportunities and dreams, and if you're not careful it can really fuck a lot of those dreams up. I wanted to make a song that felt like a backdrop to both my life over the past few years but also the city that has helped shape me for better or worse".
