Alt-Pop Never Sounded So Good With Halifax Duo Neon Dreams’ New Single “Don’t Go Hating Me Now”

Since their single « High School Dropout », we’ve always been huge fans of Nova Scotia duo Neon Dreams, not only because of their catchy melodies and dancing soundscape. Indeed, the duo — made of the vocalist Frank Kadillac and drummer Adrian Morris — returns this fall with an idyllic alt-pop single, filled with passion and catchy strings, entitled “Don’t Go hating Me Now”. The song is the type of sonic work that can become a hit overnight
The songwriting style, crafted with emotion and vulnerability portrays the lost of icons or even loved ones due to drug abuse. Mapping out the vision behind the lyrics, Kadillac confides:
“I was on my third article in one day reading about an extremely talented person passing away due to an addiction. It made me feel horrible that these things keep happening because I’ve witnessed so many people growing up go down that road. It’s in all us to help a friend in need, but what happens when you try, they resent you and you become the bad guy? It’s the hardest moment ever especially if you love them.”
