PUSHER teams up With Nashville singer-songwriter Caroline Kole for new electro-pop track, "BTDT,"
"The maker of colourful, glittery music, Toronto-based producer PUSHER, has released a collaboration with vivacious songstress Caroline Kole for an even more alluring dance track filled with shimmering effervescence," Earmilk's Vivian Lin wrote on Thursday. "An electro-pop fuelled song, "BTDT" is a shining conglomeration of the duo's sonic repertoire. PUSHER's signature 'neon' style– one that incorporates elements of trap, pop, 90's R&B and jazz– is the foundation of the track, expertly paving the way for Caroline's robust vocals to shine in the spotlight. Resoundingly uplifting, the track is a passionate testament of how fierce one can be when faced with tumultuous situations in love– a powerful anthem of moving on and forward. Capturing these striking feelings into an infectious beat, the duo are astute in drawing listeners into their rainbow castle of candor."
The new single premiered on the tastemaker site yesterday and topped Spotify Canada’s NMF playlist this morning, marking a second-time collaboration for the effortless duo.
“I've been a fan of PUSHER’s for a long time, and after he did an incredible remix of my song 'What If,' we decided to create some entirely new music together," Kole explains. "‘BTDT' was a lot of fun to write, and I’m so excited that PUSHER and I get to put this track out into the universe and even play a few shows together in the coming months.”
An accomplished jazz pianist and self-described maker of "shiny, colourful music," PUSHER's expert musicianship enables him to craft a production style that is uniquely his own– blending authentic elements from multiple musical genres with sparkling beats to create his signature technicolour sound. His previous material has racked up over 19+ million streams on Spotify alone and has seen him touring alongside Zeds Dead, Grandtheft, and Keys N Krates.
Kole, who wrote the topline and is the featured vocalist on “BTDT,” is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter that recently made the jump from country to pop. Since moving to Music City after acquiring her first publishing deal at the age of 16, she’s performed alongside superstar Reba McEntire on a 3.5 year-long international tour, played The Ryman, and even had her own videos at the top of CMT’s charts. Her latest single, “What If,” released in August with features on Spotify’s NMF in Germany and Switzerland.

"Caroline has such a powerful voice and is such a fun person and performer. I’m very excited to be releasing ‘BTDT' with her," PUSHER adds. "In a lot of ways, 2018 has been a year of empowerment for women, and I think her lyrics are a fresh, fun, poppy reflection of that zeitgeist. I hope fans of Caroline and myself, and the as yet unfamiliar, enjoy the song half as much as we enjoyed putting it together.”
"BTDT" is available now via Lowly, and is streaming on SoundCloud, Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, Deezer, Amazon, and Google Play.
