In an interview with GQ, 21 Savage spoke about the importance of Drake in the careers of many artists.
And according to him, Drake does not have the credit he deserves for putting a lot of young talent on the front of the stage: "He did a lot of s**t he didn’t have to do. He do a lot of s**t for up-and-coming rappers, period. I don’t think he get his respect for that. Every fuckin' year, he pull a new artist up. Ain't no other artist on his level do that shit."  

It must be said that in the space of one year, it is Jorja Smith, Skepta, Lil Baby or BlocBoy JB that Drake made discover to a new audience, via collaborations and more generally a real support. Before that, Drake had supported such names as ILoveMakonnen, The Weeknd or Migos at the beginning of their respective careers. It must also be remembered that in 2012, Drake had organized a huge tour and invited for the occasion Kendrick Lamar and A$AP Rocky. At the time not yet the stars they are today, the two men have already explained in an interview that this tour had helped them to make themselves known to a new audience: that of Drake. A boost that was not negligible, although for once, Lord Pretty Flacko and Kung Fu Kenny would obviously become stars without the help of the Canadian.

If the impact of Drake's support can vary, it's difficult to deny that the Canadian does not hesitate to use his platform to push other artists, as Savage explains.
