"With Dance Drink Repeat I really wanted to capture that feeling of doing whatever you can to get your mind off of someone/something, and fighting the temptation to push your problems aside until the morning. And I was visualizing different party scenes and taking myself back to moments where I just wanted to go home - but knew I needed to be around other people in order to feel okay. It’s been really exciting to watch this small idea I had for a song one day grow into something so meaningful to me."

6. James Smith - Hollow
Acoustic Music always has had something more than other genres — something pure and genuine — especially when it’s performed by the right artist, like for instance James Smith. His song “Hollow” oozes a strong acoustic identity enhanced with some vibrant poetic melodies. Moreover, James charismatic vocal timbre perfectly fits the tone of the composition, such as, if it wasn’t performed by him, it wouldn’t have sounded right.
The track is also supported with alluring black and white visuals showing the young smith, firstly sitting in his car, then owning a wide landscape as his stage. The video has almost 1M views and you can now stream it below.

It always a pleasure to see two amazing rising music superstars such as NOTD and Shy Martin Collaborate on a song. You effectively can tell that the single will be a success — And that is actually the case of their collaborative single “Keep You Mine”, which is actually counting almost 17M streams on Spotify. The composition is well orchestrated in such way that NOTD’s production perspective perfectly corresponds to Shy’s vocal performance. Indeed, the production blends different EDM elements while keeping Shy’s pop ingredients.
Moreover, the track is illustrated with some emotive visuals documenting the deeply affecting period that follows a break in a relationship, and the apprehension that sometimes you need time apart in order to keep the relationship going.
4. Habstrakt — The One
When you’re feeling down, you always need a charismatic punchy and upbeat song to cheer you up and make feel confident again. So I suggest you to include the track “The One” by French producer Habstrakt as it’ll boost your stamina up. Indeed, the composition has all high-energy elements you need to focus, mainly when you’re a competitive athlete. Its electro-infused house sound, blended with a slowly vibrating bassline surrounding distorted feminine vocals and kick-drum driven top-lines, gives the production a very versatile ambiance.
Moreover, stagnant visuals illustrates well the sound as energetic performers like dancers, boxers, stuntmen would get to show their skills and mostly endurance.
"I've been holding onto this one for a while, worked and reworked it a thousand times, and I'm so excited to finally release it. The moment I heard these vocals from Pauline Herr, I knew something huge was going to happen!" - Habstrakt

Noah Slee doesn’t disappoint with his single “Still”, which was unveiled on August 23rd, of this year. The track is a soulful vibe fused with a Hip Hop rhythm and a certain touch of Noah’s proper sound signature. Indeed, it’s quite interesting to hear Noah on such upbeat and cheerful vibe knowing that his cognitive songwriting perspective usually fits better around gloomy atmosphere. Moreover, “Still” is a part of Noah’s latest poetic Ep album ”TWICE”, which also features vibrant songs like the groovy orchestration “Do That” or even the creative concept “Outta My Way”.
I personally think Noah’s vision of music is not only creative but also versatile, mostly listening to his Ep. His songwriting perspective reminds of Big names like Frank Ocean, Anderson Pa.ak or Tyler The Creator. Stream below.

SYML — Meant To Stay Hid
SYML from his real name Brian Fennell knows exactly how to touch someone’s soul with his composition. Every time he creates a song, there’s a deep emotion that gets infused in the listener’s heart. For instance, his single “Meant To Stay Hid” plunges in such state of calmness or peace that anger gets melted away. The song is orchestrated in a simple way and SYML’s vocal performance seems so effortlessly graceful. The more, we listen, the more we understand the state of feeling the Seattle singer was dipped in when he was performing — Almost like if SYML was confiding a heavy secret through the song:
“Meant To Stay Hid’ is a personal song about loss. It’s that tangible and uncomfortable whole-body feeling that someone is gone. It’s the reality that our memory of them will fade and change. But it’s also the beautiful, yet unreasonable, hope that we will be with them again.”
