Serin Oh Promotes Self-Acceptance Through Her Latest Single “mm+i”

Having survived the labeling paradoxes of our society, South Korean-born American artist Serin Oh paints her experience as a loner and a labelled in her latest single "mm+i", which is an abbreviation of "Me, Myself and I". While, the songwriting fosters self-acceptance and self-confidence, the production showcases a versatile musical concept, as several genres including R&B, Pop, and Electronic are blended in a commercial cocktail. Serin features her hypnotizing vocal timbre while maintaining a genuine sound. About the song, the singer confides, saying:

“‘mm+i (me, myself, and i)’ is and was a way for me to deal with the inner voices telling me that it is me against the world. This song is me addressing where those destructive opinions are coming from - myself. Growing up in the suburban midwest of the US, I looked different from every one of my classmates. As a defense mechanism, I realized that I had developed an outlook of the world in which I felt victimized and isolated.”
